Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony
The long-awaited day of 29 May 2024 had finally arrived. The exuberant 130 graduating 6th grade students and potential future leaders of the Philippines, whose hard work led them to this milestone in their educational career, made their way up to a fully refurbished and restored Outdoor Auditorium Stage, to receive their graduation diplomas. The refurbishment of this Outdoor Auditorium Stage was made possible by the generous donations of those donors who believed in our Kai's and Cora's Foundation for Kids cause, and made the decision to contribute.

Outdoor Auditorium Completed
In anticipation of this year's school graduation on May 29th, 2024, Principal Sir Joseph Gregorio and Senior Administrator, Ma'am Lorna Del Rosario, along with a group of 3rd and 4th graders, pose for a picture with CAPT(Ret.) Paul Harvey, Kai's and Cora's Foundation for Kids (KCFK) vice president, on the recently rebuilt school stage. The stage was severely damaged and rendered unsafe from last year's typhoon. Donations from KCFK and OCBC helped to fully restore the school stage in time for this year's graduating class.

Rebuilding of the Outdoor Auditorium Stage
TAPINAC Elementary Schools stage in various stages of repairs from the damage it sustained during the recent typhoon. Your kind and generous donation helped to restore and refurbish the school's stage, just in time for graduation on May 29th, 2024. This effort required getting various building engineers involved, as well as construction personnel to ensure that the stage would be renovated according to the City of Olongapo's building code to promote safety and durability for years to come.

Tapinac's School Principal
On July 7th, the Cofounder of Kai's and Cora's Foundation for Kids (KCFK) - CAPT(Ret) USN, Paul Harvey, met with the new Principal of the Tapinac Elementary School in Olongapo City, Sir Marcial Mortera, to again pledge the combined efforts and support of KCFK and the Olongapo City Bayanihan Club (OCBC) to focus it upcoming charitable fundraising efforts towards funding the renovation of the Tapinac Elementary Schools stage.

The Foundation's Pledge
On February 2nd, the 2 non-profit organizations "Kai's and Cora's Foundation for Kids" and "Olongapo City Bayanihan Club" (Olongapo City Chapter) presented to the Principal and senior staff/teacher members of the Tapinac Elementary school, in Olongapo City, Philippines - A unified and collaborative pledge to work together to continue providing needed assistance, via charitable donations to help fund projects that will ultimately enhance the learning ability and experience of Tapinac Elementary schools students

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On August 31st, 2022, the Co-Founder of "Kais and Cora's Foundation for Kids", a non-profit 501c3 Organization, CAPT(Ret.) USN Paul Harvey, conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Tapinac Elementary School, in Olongapo City, Philippines for the official opening of the schools Science Laboratory Classroom, for the school's First Grader's. Funds for the purchasing of building materials to establish the Tapinac Elementary School's Science Classroom, were donated by the "Kais and Cora's Foundation for Kids". In attendance were the schools Principal; Sir Cenon G. Cayabyab Jr., Master Teacher II, I, Ma'am Lorna C. Del Rosario, Administrative Officer Ms. Sofia Santiago, Staff member, Teachers, CAPT(Ret.) USN, Paul Harvey and Ms. Maria Victoria Rivera.

On June 19th 2022, the Co-Founder of "Kais and Cora's Foundation for Kids", a non-profit 501c3 Organization, CAPT(Ret.) USN Paul Harvey, received recognition in the form of a 'Certificate of Appreciation' from the Tapinac Elementary School in Olongapo City, Philippines and a 'Plaque of Appreciation' from the Republic of the Philippines, Department of Education, for the Organizations invaluable contributions and unwavering support for the schools needs. Those in attendance are Principal III Sir Cenon G. Cayabyab Jr., Master Teacher II, I, Ma'am Lorna C. Del Rosario, Administrative Officer Ms. Sofia Santiago, Staff member, Teachers and CAPT(Ret.) USN, Paul Harvey.

Hygiene Kit Donation
The students of Tapinac Elementary school returned to in person instruction. The staff of the school had asked for assistance from our foundation in providing them with hygiene kits for the kids which included a face mask, hand sanitizer, tissues, and handi wipes. Teachers were given large 1 gallon bottles of isopropyl alcohol and individual spray bottles to assist in sanitizing the student’s hands as they entered the classroom. In addition to the Covid related items, the students received primary steps in reading books. Thanks to your donations, we are able to assist these kids stay in school.

Copier Supplies for Modular Learning
Kai's and Cora's Foundation for Kids donated supplies of copy paper that the school will use to continue the school's remote learning modules. Tapinac Elementary serves an under-resourced area of Olongapo City where the majority of households do not have the luxury of connectivity via the internet. In order to continue providing education remotely to their student population, parents must go to the school every week to pick up the modular packets that are created by the teachers. Kai's and Cora's Foundation for kids donated printer paper and toner cartridges for the school's printer.

School Supply Giveaway
Due to the Covid pandemic which has impacted families who already had limited financial resources at their disposal, they were happy to learn that school supplies would be provided by the foundation. The parents of the 150 registered kindergarten students for modular learning beginning in the fall for the 2021 school year, were extremely grateful for the ‘kinder Care Kits” that were donated. With invaluable assistance from my niece; Maria Victoria Rivera, who was our local liaison in Olongapo City, she diligently ordered and assembled in colorful portfolios, all required school supplies each Kindergarten student would need.
