Foreword Excerpt:

 

     … Kai was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. He had long talked about writing a book someday and the words that await you here have acted as a kind of catharsis for Kai and also as therapy to help ease the horrors of cancer treatments.

Every heartfelt word you are about to read, was painstakingly typed one at a time into the text message function of an iPhone by Kai with his left hand because his right hand was partially paralyzed and he was speech impaired due to the effects of the brain tumor. It was the only way he could set these ideas down in order to share them with you. 

​

So treasure the words that await you, dear friends. Each was carefully chosen and agonizingly crafted to tell a simple story; the story of a man. Kai passed from this world on April 22, 2020 and has ridden on ahead to prepare the road for all of us who love to ride motorcycles. His spirit whispered in my ear as I was writing this, “Tell them, this is for my beloved wife, Valerie. This one’s for you, Val.”
